Policy Review

These policies are subject to periodic review and may be updated as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the Makerspace and the satisfaction of its users.

User Responsibility

Users are responsible for designing, planning, and executing their own projects using the resources available in the Makerspace. Staff members are available for assistance and guidance, but they will not undertake project creation on behalf of the user.

In the case that you do not have the time, desire, or skill to design, plan, and execute your own project you may ask to be connected with a  freelance engineer, designer, or student to complete the project.

Staff Discretion

Policies are applied to all MAKERSPACE users. Staff have authority to end a user’s access or limit usage of the MAKERSPACE. Repeated incompetence on machinery may result in users being asked to repeat training.

  • Each individual needs to be signed up for the training in order take the training. We cap our trainings at 3 individual, if more are needed, please contact the MAKERSPACE at makerspace@utahtech.edu.
